Royal District

The Association for the Royal Sites and Bourbon Residences was established to continue to revive the cultural identity and retell the historical memory of the Italian Bourbon cultural heritage.

The Association, starting from 2005, contributes to the general interest in promoting a broader policy of protection, enhancement, and development of the Bourbon identity of Southern Italy, with a view to civil growth and sustainable development, while encouraging the participation and consensus of local communities.

Since December 2008, the Association has been established as a non-profit organization (ONLUS) and since 2023 it has been registered with the RUNTS (national single register of the third sector) with the qualification of social promotion association (APS) and endowed with legal personality.

The Association works to create a cultural and economic district starting from the circuit of the Royal Sites and Bourbon Residences of Naples and the South, enhancing the cultural, landscape, and creative heritage in connection with other sectors of activity and with the territory's infrastructures, in order to generate value, quality, and strategic opportunities in the territory and towards public institutions, private operators, and the community of citizens.

To this end, the Association has initiated an intense awareness and animation activity since 2005 and has realized a series of projects, events, and initiatives, obtaining important recognitions from the OECD, the Presidency of the Republic, the Senate of the Republic, and the Chamber of Deputies, achieving significant results, also thanks to the support of citizens and collaborations developed with local, national, and international entities and organizations. The Association also contributes to the development of the enhancement path of the Bourbon Residences itinerary, in subsidiary application of Law 112/2013.
