Species obtained through natural hybridization between Tilia cordata and Tilia platyphyllos, belonging to the family Tiliaceae (order Fagales), approximately 260 years old, 8 meters in circumference and 34 meters in height. By ancient tradition of the southern Apennines, it symbolizes the unity of the local community (universitos civium) and, in many villages, identifies the place of the ancient assemblies.
