A woman of extreme pride, who expresses her character through an inseparable relationship with her land.
Her project is young, starting in 2004, when, after finishing her studies in Milan in Viticulture and Oenology, she decides to return to Sicily, beginning to cultivate one hectare of vineyard in Vittoria at the foot of the Iblei Mountains.
Provincial road SP68, the wine, the vineyard, and the dry stone walls: this is the land of Arianna.
The sun rises early in the morning over the Iblei Mountains, while the sky reddens in layers and the warm light spreads among the rows of fossa di Lupo, her district.
In this landscape grow the 25 hectares of vineyard of Frappato di Vittoria, Nero d’Avola, Albanello, and Zibibbo, but also centuries-old olive groves and wheat.
Work is done in the field according to the principles of biodynamics because Arianna believes there is a balance to respect in every gesture: from cultivation to pruning - which must be sharp, clean - to the processing of the fruit.
Thus, work is done with respect, without chemicals, using cover crops and maintaining biodiversity, without disturbing the balance of things.
The wines are the transpositions of Arianna's love for the grapes of these places, Il Frappato and il Nero d’Avola: she finds herself in their expression, in their being harmonious and unequal.
In this way, she manages to create a wine that highlights the strength of the grapes to carry within them a past and a future at the same time.
