To best express the terroir, tradition, and essence of the cultural values of our family through the help of the winemaking techniques of our ancestors
From ancient documents, it is revealed that the Slavček farm was established in the distant 1769: always owned by the ancestors of the Vodopivec family, the farm takes the name Slavček – nightingale – a name attributed to the presence of a multitude of nightingales nearby. Today, it is the father Franc, the wife Alenka, and the two sons Andrej and Tomaz who manage the farm.
The lands, primarily cultivated with wine, extend over 10-11 hectares and feature vines of: Ribolla gialla, Klarnica Malvasia, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Barbera, Refosco, Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat giallo, Rizling Italico. The vineyards are spread along the edges of the hills, on a steep slope, whose soils contain rocky and marly components, giving the wine a characteristic mineral flavor. Manual harvesting and the use of sulfur and copper in minimal doses are the foundations for agriculture conducted in a biological manner.
The heart of the company's philosophy lies in the optimal processing of the grapes, emphasizing the precision and wisdom typical of the ancestors, to achieve harmony and respect for the peculiarities of each wine. The most representative wines of the company are Ribolla, Pinot Grigio, Barbera, Merlot, and the classic method sparkling wine called Viktorija.
